Credit Card club

Published by Kim under general, life

Now that I have had my credit cards for a couple of years and have started building up pretty good credit, I have decided that it’s time that I look into possibly getting another one at a lower interest rate. Now, don’t worry if I do get another card, it will be to replace the cards that I currently own. When I first started looking for credit cards I didn’t have any credit to speak of so I pretty much had to go with the ones that I did. But with my better credit rating, I’m thinking that I may be able to go with a card that has less interest on it.

I have found a site over at creditcardsclub.com. This site lists all types of credit cards and all their advantages and disadvantages. They have actually set up a different credit cards rating for each card listed on their site. They have done all the research and leg work so that I don’t have to. They list all the different interest rates and any rewards associated with each and every card. This is a great site to find the perfect card that I’m looking for and with all the information located in one place, my search for a new card has been made a lot easier.

Extra special present

Published by Kim under family, entertainment

Today is my birthday and this morning my daughter  gave me an extra special birthday present.  Over the past couple of weeks she has been teaching herself on how to play the “happy birthday” song.  This song she hasn’t learned in school, she taught herself.  So as I was walking down the hall first thing this morning I could hear her playing happy birthday on her violin.  Most days my daughter and I fight constantly, but it’s days like today that  show me exactly how she feels.  She may get mad at me on a regular basis, but I’m her mom and she loves me.  Not only did I get the violin song from her, but her and my youngest son also made me homemade birthday cards.  They are the best!!  Now if I would only hear from my oldest son, my day would be complete.

One more week

Published by Kim under family, entertainment

Wow I can’t believe there is only one more week until the camping season officially opens. Yes, it’s still a little cold here at night time for camping, but as long as you have a good heater and a camper, you really should make out OK. The weekend of May 19 is a long weekend around here with the kids being home from school Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, so we are planning on taking our first camping trip that weekend. So because it’s only a couple of weeks away, I have to start digging out all our camping supplies, sleeping bags and curtains. The end of the season last year I took everything out, washed it all up and put it all away. So the start of this season all I need to do is dig out the stuff and put it in the trailer. I can’t wait.

My son will be happy

Published by Kim under Internet

My youngest son spends a lot of time on the Internet downloading and playing games. But lately he has been getting pretty frustrated with how slow the computer has been working. I figured out the problem. The problem was that this computer just doesn’t have enough computer memory to upload most of the games that he wants to play. So this morning my husband took the computer with him to drop it off at the computer shop to get the memory on the computer upgraded. The guys at the store said we should have the machine back in a couple of days so my son will be one happy kid once the computer comes back.

Young people today

Published by Kim under life, kids

It’s an awful shame how some young people today are just throwing their lives away.  I was just talking to a friend of mine who’s daughter has gotten herself in a world of trouble all because of drugs.   I honestly don’t remember my generation having as many troubles with drugs as the kids these days are. It’s a good thing that more and more drug rehab centers are being built because I honestly think we need them all as well as a few more. I felt bad for my friend, but the only thing I could do for her was sit back and listen. Hopefully her daughter will see the error of her ways and try to straighten herself out.

New paid to post company

Published by Kim under blogging, internet income

As you all know, I do some paid blogging. I work for several different companies to earn some extra income while I stay at home taking care of my two youngest children. I have been doing this type of work for a little over a year and I am very pleased with the amount of money that I have been able to earn while staying at home.

This is why I would like to tell you all about another paid to blog company that I have just recently joined. This site is located over at buyblogreviews.com. They will pay you to post reviews and advertisements on your blog for a little bit of income. They are fairly new so the assignments are a little in the slow stage, but I have done about five posts for them now and I have gotten paid. So, if you would like to earn a little income while staying at home, then just click on the badge that is at the top of this post and sign up.

Happy Blogging!

Improving my memory

Published by Kim under health, general

Last night I was watching a show on TV on how to improve one’s memory. I found this show to be extremely informative and interesting as for the past few years I have noticed that my memory is getting pretty bad. Even on the important issues. So I am going to try some of these tricks that I learned last night and see if they will work to improve my memory. It’s not a real big issue in my life, but it can be quite annoying at times. Although I am not quite 40, my memory is actually worse than my grandmother’s who is 86 and I would really like to improve on this.

More work on the afghan

Published by Kim under crafts, kids

Last night I was a little bored and wanted something different to do.  So I picked up my daughter’s knitted afghan that I have spent months working on and started knitting again.  I honestly couldn’t believe how long it’s been since I last worked on it.  It’s a good thing that she is a very patient child when it comes to things like this.  I have a tendency to go in spurts when working on certain crafting projects and lately I have been in the jewelry creation spurts.  But to be fair to my daughter I have decided to spend a little time working on her afghan every night until its finally completed.  I feel like I’ve been working on it forever so I can’t wait until it’s done.  My son wants one next, but I think I’m going to look for a different pattern that doesn’t take quite so long to complete.

Going to visit my cousin

Published by Kim under family, entertainment

I finally made the decision. I have decided that I am going to book my flight to California and go visit my cousin for the very first time in my life. We usually see one another every four years, but it is always her that ends up traveling here to Canada. I have found some real cheap tickets for Flights to USA and I am taking the plunge and going to do this.

Now that I have finally made up my mind, I am quite anxious to go travelling. There are so many things to see and do in California and I can’t wait to try them all out. Through dialaflight.com I will be able to get some inexpensive tickets. And if I wasn’t staying with my cousin they would also help me with hotel accommodations as well as car rentals. Hopefully during my stay my cousin and I can go out together (just the two of us) for just one day of sightseeing, fun and relaxation. Now that I’ve made up my mind, I can’t wait to get going.
